George Miller to Aviation Hall of Fame in May, 2015

Langley’s own George Miller, CD led a distinguished career of 35 years in the RCAF/CF. His 1973 leadership of the “Snowbirds” aerobatic team was key in developing the nine aircraft formation and the brand that exists today. Post air force Miller continued to be a driving force in aviation development from coordinating air shows in Ottawa. His tenure as manager of the Langley Regional Airport was instrumental in establishing a significant commercial and recreational operational core at YNJ. Present day Miller continues to consult in the aviation industry; is an active pilot and aviation mentor; and is a leader of the civilian formation flying team the “Fraser Blues.”
