Full size static display replica of the famous WWI single seat fighter, built from original plans. Original construction methods duplicated wherever possible, with exception of non-aircraft grade wood, Dacron fabric finish, and fibre glass engine cowling. Engine is a clever mock up.

General Information

Several genuine Camel single-seat fighters remain in existence, but only two of these are known to be maintained in flying condition. An F.1 Camel (B5747) appears in Belgium's Musee de l'Armee, a 2F.1 Camel (N6812) is displayed in the National Aviation Museum at Ottawa.

Approximately 5,600 Camels were built in 1917-1918, by 8 different U.K. companies, including the British Caudron Company.
